The Canmore Downtown Hostel provided us with an excellent stay during our trip. The private room we booked was spacious and clean, with a comfortable mattress and a big locker for our valuables. The hostel itself is conveniently located near Downtown Canmore, allowing easy access to highways and a variety of shops. The complimentary parking was a huge bonus. The hostel also enforced quiet time and had strict policies in place, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. Compared to the high prices in Banff, this hostel was a great bargain.
Additionally, there should be more plug-ins available in the common area to accommodate all the guests. The hostel could also benefit from more common space, but this is limited due to the building's constraints.

I had an amazing Christmas stay at this hostel! The facility was cozy and well-maintained, with big windows that offered a beautiful view of the mountains. The location was perfect - just a short walk from downtown, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. I loved that the hostel provided curtains around the beds, giving me some privacy and a sense of personal space. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Meeting fellow travelers and sharing stories made my holiday even more enjoyable.
While my stay was great overall, there were a few minor drawbacks. The common area could have been cleaner, especially the tables which had visible stains.

The noise level in some areas. While the staff made an effort to enforce quiet hours, it would have been better if they were able to monitor it more closely.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. the hostel was spotless and well-maintained, with clean and tidy bathrooms that had shower gel and towels available. the bed was comfortable and cozy, and I loved the fact that each bed had its own electrical outlet, locker, shelf, and privacy curtain. the common area had large windows that offered a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, which was a lovely bonus. the location was perfect, with everything I needed within walking distance and just a short drive away from Banff.
That the hallway lights were a bit too bright at night, even with the curtains on the beds. It would have been nice if they were dimmed to create a more peaceful and restful atmosphere.
